Mineral Advice Ltd was transformed into a global business in Summer 2025 following 3 years of successfully operating the business in the UK. The founder, Dr Annie Williams, offers consultancy for ruminants (dairy, beef and sheep) in all aspects of mineral nutrition.

Dr Annie Williams NSch, has over 15 years experience in mineral nutrition, including a PhD in mineral bioavailability from Harper Adams University, an MSc in Animal Nutrition from University of Nottingham and a Nuffield Scholarship titled: Mineral Advice in Ruminants; Are we getting it right?
This is combined with extensive commercial nutrition experience across the UK and Europe.

The business operates globally with two mantras:

• Advice is ALWAYS independent

• Consultancy charges are for time and expertise, never for product.

Consultancy is available for farmers, vets and nutritionists or anyone interested in minerals in ruminants. It includes on farm formulation, trouble-shooting and interpretation of feed, water or veterinary diagnostic results. Mineral auditing and balancing is a key part of the business and available to on-off clients or as a regular plan. Training is available on a range of themes for trace element and macro-mineral nutrition through in person events or webinars. Annie is actively involved in many research projects and translation of new knowledge to commercial practice is fundamental to the success of the business and to improvement across all livestock sectors.
